High-rise Dar

After some afternoon drinks in Savannah Lounge in town we got in the lift to leave, realising that it had an open window and view out over the city, we pressed to go to the top floor where we got out and climbed some stairs to see if we could get a view of the whole 360 degrees. The sun had gone down and it was getting dark but you can see the dock, some small islets out near Kigamboni and lots of lights and buildings of the city centre of Dar.

Some security guards came to get rid of us but we somehow managed to sweet talk them into letting me continue to take photos and avoided paying a silly bribe. Always bribes, I'm getting used to it now, to the extent that it will seem strange when I leave and someone does me a favour and doesn't expect any kind of tip or financial fee for just simply being a nice citizen and pleasant human being it will be a genuine shock to the system.
