Barcodes

In Brazil they have a strange system at bars, clubs and restaurants. On arrival they give you a card with a bar code and all your orders and purchases go onto the card you pay at the end. It's fine and logical and everything once you're used to it, but on a night out at closing time or close to, it's a total nightmare. Queues are endless. Worse still if you get too drunk or lose your card by accident, or someone steals yours from you, you may have top pay their extortionate bill and that's after everyone else has left so they know which card or cards to allocate to you. No thanks. Not sure if I'm too much of a fan of this system. If I am, I think it should be reserved for restaurants and cafes not clubs and bars. There are just too many people in clubs and bars and you also run the risk of losing count of how much you've been ordering which leads to a nasty surprise at the end of the night.
